Type of Opportunity

The African Youth Summit 2023 is a fully funded opportunity that will take place from 17th to 20th October in Cape Town, South Africa. The summit will invite 50 exceptional Changemakers to join them for a life-changing experience of learning, networking and fun alongside some of Africa’s most inspiring young leaders.

The Fully-funded Global Changemakers-ATKV African Youth Summit 2023 in South Africa offers numerous benefits to selected participants. Firstly, if selected, the program covers the cost of the participant’s flight from their country’s main airport, transportation in South Africa, accommodation, and food for the duration of the summit. This means that participants do not need to worry about any expenses related to attending the summit.

Secondly, participants will have the opportunity to network with other like-minded young leaders and changemakers from across Africa and beyond. This will allow them to form connections, share ideas, and collaborate on projects that could potentially create a positive impact in their communities.

Eligibility

The program is looking for the most inspiring, interesting, enthusiastic, determined, and innovative young social entrepreneurs, community activists, volunteers, campaigners, and changemakers who are working towards attaining the SDGs across the globe. Participants may be from any African country or of any nationality who live and work in Africa. They should have a working understanding of English and should be between 21 and 28 years old at the time of the summit (those born between 17 October 1995 and 20 October 2002).

Application Process

Changemakers should apply at this link before midnight CAT 10 June 2023. Please note that insurance and additional personal expenses, as well as visas to enter South Africa (for those who require one), will not be covered.
