Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to determine their hair care needs and desired styles.
- Perform haircuts, color treatments, blowouts, and various styling techniques.
- Recommend hair products and treatments based on clients’ hair types and preferences.
- Stay updated on current hair trends, styles, and techniques through continued education and training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat visits and referrals.
- Manage appointment schedules and keep track of client records.
- Assist in marketing efforts to promote salon services and attract new clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive salon experience for all clients.
Tasks
- Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences
- Shampoo customers’ hair
- Shave and trim beards and mustaches
- Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
- Clean and style wigs and hair pieces
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
